Science & Technology 11

Description:
NOTE: Science and Technology 11 provides students with a grade 11 science credit sufficient for Grade 12 graduation but this course is NOT an approved Grade 11 Science Course for admission into post-secondary institutions. Many post-secondary institutions require an approved Science 11 credit for entrance into their programs. For example, UBC Vancouver for September 2007 requires an approved Science 11 for entrance into their ARTS program and many other programs.

This course provides students with a look back and a look ahead into the world of Science and Technology. Students will be challenged to make informed decisions about controversial issues in society concerning the research of scientific ideas and the development of new technology. Students will have an excellent opportunity to strengthen and develop their own personal worldviews when comparing and contrasting their beliefs with mainstream secular thinking as it relates to science and technology past, present and future.
